Each year during legislative session, commercial real estate owners and managers travel to Tallahassee to spend a day at the Capitol to discuss BOMA’s positions on issues important to our industry.
Having a strong showing from our members at the Capitol sends the message that BOMA is a robust association with the backing of a talented and involved membership. The tentative agenda is as follows:

Plan to arrive in Tallahassee late afternoon/early evening.
Tuesday, January 23, 2024
9:00 - 10:30 am - Speaker presentations
Meeting location: Historic Capitol Museum’s Senate Chamber.
Note: Prompt gathering at 9:00 am is required, as we will be welcoming elected officials as speakers.
10:30 am to 3:00 pm (if needed) – Each group of locals to meet with Senators, Representatives, and Aides from their districts.
Note: Each local should schedule visits with their elected officials prior to the Advocacy Day Event; it is recommended to confirm your appointments the week prior to our January 23 event.

BOMA Florida has secured a block of rooms at the Hotel Duval, 415 N. Monroe Street, Tallahassee for the night of Monday, January 22. The hotel is within walking distance of the Capitol. The room rate is $269 plus tax.
